The Future of The Daily Deal Market

Posted by on Oct 11, 2011 in All Blog Posts, Daily Deal Industry | 0 comments

There’s been a lot of buzz around the recent turnover and consolidation of several daily deal websites. Some sources have predicted a collapse of the industry while others remain optimistic about it’s future growth. The rapid growth of the number of competitors into the market is not sustainable but there still seems to be lots of room for growth in the industry (see Don Young Jr’s Daily Deal Media Article: Daily Deals Market not even Close to Breaking Point). Despite this, some sources estimate that roughly 20% of these...

Google + vs. Facebook

Posted by on Sep 21, 2011 in All Blog Posts, Interests and Opinions, Website Resources | 0 comments

So after 12 weeks of testing and invitation-only invites, Google + is now open to anyone who wants to join. It will be interesting to see how well it is received. I wrote a blog post earlier about how Google’s invite-only testing phase was creating a lot of buzz around the service. Despite this initial buzz and my excitement to try it, I feel like Google took too long to release their product to the general public and a lot of the buzz and hype has died down. The activity of my friends virtually stopped entirely one or two weeks after...

It is important that you find a capable developer who is easy to work with and reliable. It’s a good idea to start your search by reaching out to friends or family who may know or have worked with a website developer in the past. A developer or development team can look good on paper (or on a website) but they may not be the best candidate for the job. The best performance...

Google + and its Exclusive Invitation Marketing Strategy

Posted by on Jul 12, 2011 in All Blog Posts, Interests and Opinions, Website Resources | 0 comments

So I’m trying out Google + for the first time and I definitely feel like it will provide some competition for facebook and other social networking websites. I created a Google profile several months ago and heard about Google + several weeks ago, but like many people, I was unable to try out the site due to the limitations Google has put on the number of people that can join. Google + is still being test driven so they have decided to limit the number of invites until they feel that the site is ready to go full scale. Whether this was...
